Start Date: 7/24/2010 End Date: 7/24/2010 Start Address: Stephen Decatur Park SOUTH RT 113 Start City/State/Zip: BERLIN, MD 21801
RIDE destination TBA: Meet up time 715 PM
RAIN DATE: 7/25/2010
Many of you are familiar with my friend Sally from the "Help a friend In Need" Benefit that I did for her. (Pictures in my Albums.)
Sally was diagnosed as being in stage 4 of Glioblastoma Mutiforme Cancer almost 2 yrs ago.....there is no cure for this type cancer. She has already blessed us with her presentence longer then anticipated. Sally has lost use of her right arm and right leg. She has gone through radiation/ chemo treatments. Several surgeries and numerous hospital stays. Sally is a very dear friend of mine, and I have to admit it hurts so bad to see the pain and all she has gone through. Sally is a beautiful person inside and out. She would do anything she could for anyone. Her family is her most important thing to her.
I want to help her with the one thing she wants to do. Due to Sally's condition, she can not be out in the sun and heat for any long periods of time. I thought the best way to do this was an evening ride to see the beautiful sunset.
This ride does not cost anyone anything. It is to share in the pleasure of giving Sally her wish. However, donation will be accepted to help this family in this trying time. And if you can not make a donation IT'S OK....Just come and enjoy a beautiful sunset with a beautiful person. The struggles this family has had to endure are very sad. Sally has not been able to work since she was diagnosed in 2008. Her husband has struggled with the construction work during this period of time. Unfortunately, the struggles have cost them a lot. His motorcycle had to be sold to help pay the mortgage and bills. It was not enough though. So if anyone would like to make a donation please see me, and the money will go towards helping with the mortgage.
Everyone will meet at the parks Monument (near the rt 113 end of the park) by 7pm. Would like to pull out at about 715-720. A few will be meeting @ Sally's house to help her into the side car. (THANK YOU SIDECAR & The Harrington Moose Riders for always coming through for me. LOVE YA GUYS n' GALS)
Please contact 443-880-6868 with any question.
More info will be added as I have it for all...

Would love to make it... My mom lost her fight with the same thing on January 16th...I was on the help a Friend ride and it was awesome to meet Sally...Mom wanted to meet her to try and help her with it mentally...She even sent a donation by me to the benefit for Sally...the meeting just wasn't meant to be I guess...anyway, I'm gonna try hard to make it...

Tattoo..I am so sorry to hear about your Mom..I had no clue. DANG it, so many people being taken away from friebds & family, these days. Again i am soooo very sorry about your Mom.
I do not get on here much anymore..Seems I have lost touch with so many people since September. It is amazing how ones life really changes in the blink of an eye....
L&R to all,
Teri

It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth - and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.
